The WSL expresses its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Pierre Agnes, who was lost at sea earlier this week.

Pierre was an institution unto himself within the surfing world and vital pillar of the Quiksilver family. He was a true believer in the power of surfing and his passion, intellect and experience positively impacted the lives of many of people around the world.

We share the mourning and grief today at our loss.

We consider ourselves very fortunate to have known him and to have shared our time and experience with him, both in surfing and in life.
