"All moves start with a good bottom turn and for me, it's all about minimal movement and stillness. This stillness on the bottom turn will keep you more centered and balanced as you go into your turn. This carve is closer to the pocket so you want to bottom turn just around the white water and as you drive up the face.
Unweighting to the back foot is key, this frees up the front half of the board so you don't dig your rail. Another thing that it is really important is your front arm coming away from your body and pulling back towards the white water. When you pull your front arm off your body it opens up your midsection so that it's easier and more natural to twist around and get that wrap on your turn.
